Tourism & Hospitality Internship Program

A three-week placement combining supervised operational work, tourism fieldwork and an applied specialization project.

Overview

Learn through real operational responsibility

Interns perform supervised tasks across guest services and tourism operations before completing a host-appropriate specialization project.

Accommodation is provided for the full programme. Breakfast is included, with full board available at selected regional sites; final arrangements are confirmed with the host.

Structure

Three weeks of progressive experience

Week 1

Guest services

Front-desk, reservations, guest queries, housekeeping inspection and restaurant-service tasks under supervision.

Week 2

Tourism operations

Guide assistance, visitor support, itinerary drafting and logistics for live visitor groups.

Week 3

Specialization project

Applied work in hotel operations, events and MICE, or adventure and eco-tourism, followed by an improvement proposal.

Completion

Applied deliverables

  • Supervisor-signed daily task log
  • Itinerary draft with guide feedback
  • Written improvement proposal with supervisor sign-off

Certification

Document practical experience

Successful interns receive a Certificate of Completion from CARE and the host organization, listing completed hours, tasks and the specialization track pursued.
