Overview
Connect equine movement with individualized therapeutic goals
The programme introduces hippotherapy as a treatment strategy and therapeutic riding through theory, horse-handling safety and supervised patient-facing sessions.
It is conducted by the International Ridetherapy Association at RidenRanch, with a certified practitioner and licensed equine handler present throughout practical work.
Structure
Build safety and clinical reasoning before practice
Horse handling and positioning
Equipment, mounting, dismounting, patient positioning, side-walking and spotting techniques.
Session planning and delivery
Supervised session segments, documentation, outcome measures and a final patient-case presentation.
Safety requirement
Induction before mounted activity

- ✓Direct supervision during patient-facing practice
Certification
Complete an applied case record
Participants submit observation records and a case summary with session plan, outcome notes and supervisor feedback. Successful participants receive a Certificate of Completion signed by CARE and the International Ridetherapy Association.
